You are clearly into this. Ojalá my graduate students (when I taught) had done so well with references. Your footnoting skills are astonishingly well developed, too. Most of what you recommend, however, (I checked on Amazon) is beyond the budget of a retired octogenarian. The average cost is $15 each issue--about the same cost as a bottle of decent wine in Puerto Rico. I have to make difficult choices every day.

I'm certain I like the wine; I can't be certain I would like a genre I have not read. (I rarely read sy fy or horror or fantasy-- I am horrified enough by "real" life.) Yet I would read some if it were free to see what I am missing. Is there anywhere on the net that has selections (free samples) of one of your recommended books?
