Something like this was done on the Knob, now Hinged, A Best of collection. But you could not nominate yourself or anyone else. If I remember correctly, the editors chose the stories. I was proud to have been included!

I like your idea, but it would take me days of full-time reading to pick three stories not my own! So I will include two of my own and spend some time finding one other—there are so MANY good stories on P&P!

I assume Crossing Genres stories are not eligible.

Here are two of mine:

I liked Running Towards Hope, and most of Jim's. But, I think he should nominate his favorites.

I didn’t get any farther than my birthday in 2022. I was astounded at The Revelation of Johnnie Ray by Jonathan Poletti. The story received almost no attention. No underlines, few claps, no comments. Yet, I felt like I was striking gold. The subject most likely had little interest to today’s generation, but to an oldster like me, it resonated. It was not only because I lived through the era and sang along to my 45s, but the research, exposition, composition, and the care taken in preparing it is stellar. I hope he also published it somewhere it would get more attention.
