Obesity? I am in my eighties and recently took a cruise. I was concerned that I might appear odd, walking with a cane because of knee arthritis. I weigh 165 pounds, eat healthy, never smoked, drink moderately, exercise regularly. I found myself among seriously overweight people chowing up at all the food stations. Is this what the American middle class looks like? Are 200 to 300 + pound bodies normal in mid America? I thing fat shaming is bad, but I had never seen so many fat people in one place! More on the topic, my doctor usually recommends II should eat more vegetables, fiber, etc. etc. My doctor is over weight. When he recommends more lab work, I smile, and ignore him.
