I live in Puerto Rico, where everyone is a U.S. Citizen and no one is allowed to vote for a U.S. president. (Although fit to fight in all U.S. wars.) That may be why I have not paid much attention to the two old men you refer to in your coherent and almost convincing piece. I think the prevalent attitude here is “it doesn’t concern us.” However, my stateside family—who can and do vote—have experienced incivility, including loss of friends and fractured family relations simply because they prefer one candidate over another. It is more of a cult war than a civil war! We can’t vote, but you can, and your choice not to concerns me. Isn’t it best to choose the lesser evil—as someone here commented? It is your choice, of course, and I respect it. You are one of the coherent voices on this issue on Medium (and most elsewhere). Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
