As always, I enjoyed and admired your flower photos. The note about the arbitrary divisions of the seasons interested me. I feel sure anthropologists have studied that, but I have never read anything that addresses it. As you know, “it's always summer in the tropics” but now I wonder how the Taino divided the seasons. (For me it’s simple: half the year there’s great weather for my garden and half a year is beach/pool time.)
